Detroit — Police are investigating a stabbing between neighbors that left one man in critical condition Wednesday night on the city's west side.
The stabbing took place at about 10:20 p.m. in the 16000 block of Santa Rosa, said Officer Holly Lowe, a Detroit Police Department spokeswoman. That's just south of Puritan and west of Livernois.
Police say the neighbors, a 37-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, got into an argument when the older man pulled out a handgun, Lowe said. The younger man pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed the neighbor in the neck with it.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, and he's listed in critical condition, Lowe said.
Police describe the suspect as a "known person," but he has not been arrested.
